Where we are and what we do

TerraForma BVI is a small beach side pottery workshop at Aragorn’s Studio, Trellis Bay on the Caribbean island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

We make hand-built and wheel-thrown tableware, lighting & sconces, sinks, art-tiles & murals. We have Paint-Your-Own-Pottery (PYOP) kits for sale and regular family “ClayPlay” Saturdays, when between 10am and 3pm there are clay and tools available free of charge for folks to try their hands at some pottery, including having a go on the potter’s wheel.

We sell our ceramics from the adjacent gallery and craft shop at Aragorn’s Studio, home of the famous Full Moon Parties and Aragorn’s metalwork and Fireball sculptures. TerraForma makes small ceramic Fireballs, exclusively for sale through Aragorn’s Studio. TerraForma frequently takes commissions from individual clients, designing and producing custom work to order.

We teach classes!

Clay classes can be booked for groups; we offer different project based classes tailored to your group’s preference, budget, and available time.

PYOP (paint your own pottery) walk-ins are welcome! Buy a kit, find a comfortable spot on the beach or at one of our shaded tables and get creative! Decorate your very own hand-made in the BVI bowl or mug at your leisure, leave it with us to be fired then collect later. If you are visiting, we can ship it home for you.

TerraForma is currently not really a “We”, its just Deborah Entwistle, a potter from the UK who’s been designing and making pottery in Trellis Bay since 2004. But I hope to be a “we” in the future as I rebuild the business in the wake of Irma and Covid. I’m looking forward to passing on my skills and knowledge of this wonderful craft.
